Standard System Features
- Two-year labor warranty from the date of installation.
- Manufacturer's warranties are extended to each homeowner. Use copper pipe for the water tap and all exposed plumbing.
- Use N.S.F. approved P. V .C. and polyurethane pipe and fittings. Use U.L. approved low voltage irrigation cable.
- All mainline piping is one inch P. V .C. pipe (unless otherwise stated).
- All secondary piping is one inch polyurethane pipe (unless otherwise stated).
- Gel coated wire connector used for all electrical connections to control valves. Head to head coverage on all zones to insure 100% coverage.
- All piping installed at a depth of 12" using a vibratory plow for minimal turf damage. Will provide an as-installed drawing upon request. (additional fees may apply)

Lawn Systems takes a significant amount of pride in providing the best service within our industry. If you irrigation system is not performing as you would expect, we are here to correct the problem for you. With several full-time, year-round service technicians on staff, Lawn Systems, Inc. can respond to your needs at a moment's notice, regardless of the time of year. And since we service all brands of irrigation systems and components, you can rest assured that the job will be completed in a timely fashion and with the proper replacement parts.
There are three services necessary to maintain the integrity of the irrigation system. They are:
- Spring Start-Up - pressurize the system, check all zones for leaks, check adjustment of heads, replace back-up battery in controller if necessary, verify program I schedule.
- Backflow Test - one of our ten county and state licensed technicians will test your backflow device with an approved and callibrated guage to assure compliance with government standards, we then submit a copy of your test to the county or municipality you reside in with appropriate fee.
- Winterization - purge the sprinkler system of all water using a high volume air compressor, drain water service back to shut-off valve to protect against freezing, prepare backflow device for winter storage.
A winterization is provided at no charge the year of your new installation, charges will apply to all non-warranty services following. Please ask your sales associate for our current rates.
Irrigation Basics
The irrigation systems of today are self sufficient watering systems that provide the essential water needs of lawns and plants not provided by Mother Nature. When designed properly, a sprinkler system will eliminate the need to water with a garden hose or other device thereby saving the property owner valuable time and money. Once a system is installed, the property owner may sit back and let the system do its job. Interaction between the homeowner and the sprinkler system is minimal, with minor adjustments being made for the particular season. Adjustments made via the control panel, typically located in the garage, involve manipulating a few buttons and/or rotating a dial. That's it!
The Irrigator - How We Communicate with You!
Lawn Systems, Inc. communicates with our customers using a newsletter similar to what you are reading now. These newsletters will be mailed in the Spring and in the Fall. They will include information on our service schedule for Spring Turn-On, Fall Winterization and useful irrigation related news.
Lawn Systems, Inc. has over 4000 residential customers, so in order to serve you better, we route our trucks by establishing specific coverage according to zip code. When you receive our newsletter, you will be able to select a day from our schedule in which we will be in your area. From the schedule we ask that you call our office to schedule an appointment that fits your availability. For most irrigation systems, we will need access to the basement to turn the system on or off and to the garage to operate the controller.
